Our school is involved in a healthy eating initiative called the Incredible Edibles, which is delivered by Agri Aware. The Incredible Edibles programme is designed to encourage pupils to grow potatoes, fruit and vegetables in school, with a view to increasing the consumption of potatoes, fruit and vegetables and learning about food origin and quality.
Within this project pupils are growing potatoes, carrots, turnips, lettuce and strawberries in our school. The project requires the pupils to complete 6 tasks.
The children have already planted the fruit and vegetables and are very excited!!!

RSA (Road Safety Authority) comes to our school! |

The Road Safety Authority were in the school on the 19th and 20th of March demonstrating road safety to the children.
The children were given a reflective bag containing a safety license with their picture on it. |

Pupils in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class are being given the opportunity to bake on Friday afternoons. The children are baking up a storm in the school cookery room, making everyones tummy rumble as they pass by. So far the children have baked buns, scones, pancakes and bread always making sure to bring some samples home to share with their families. |

Galvone National School was founded in 2003 when St Kierans Boys National School was amalgamated with Presentation Girls School in 2003.
